Katie Youngblood, DNP, CNM boasts a career that reflects a rare combination of high-acuity clinical experience and the ability to build systems from the ground up. As Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer of PeriPro Solutions, she leads consulting engagements, toolkit development, and the clinical strategy behind PeriPro's work with hospitals and health systems.
Katie's clinical foundation was built in some of the most demanding environments in obstetric care. Her labor and delivery nursing career included years at Parkland Hospital, one of the nation's busiest and highest-acuity perinatal centers, where she developed the clinical instincts and high-risk fluency that now inform every PeriPro engagement. As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, she was the first CNM in a large multi-provider OB/GYN practice, establishing a midwifery presence within a physician-led model. She has since served as Clinical Director of a growing North Texas midwifery practice, leading clinical operations for a multi-provider team delivering care across both hospital and birth center settings.

Her academic credentials span a combination of disciplines rarely seen in healthcare consulting. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Baylor University, where she also served as clinical faculty in obstetric nursing. This diverse foundation shaped her into a consultant who can move fluidly between clinical, strategic, and institutional contexts.

Katie's scholarly work has focused on the intersection of team communication and clinical outcomes. Her doctoral research centered on implementing structured communication frameworks within labor and delivery units to improve interdisciplinary collaboration and patient safety, with findings presented at national conferences including the American College of Nurse-Midwives Annual Meeting.
As the architect of the firm's organizational consulting toolkit framework, Katie demonstrates credentials of a consultant capable of identifying organizational change opportunities and implementing complex, effective, and sustainable solutions. PeriPro toolkits provide comprehensive strategic documents that integrate workforce sustainability analysis, financial modeling, competitive positioning, legislative funding research, and phased implementation roadmaps tailored to each organization's specific situation.

Katie believes that the most meaningful change in maternal healthcare will not come from policy alone, but from clinicians who are willing to step beyond the bedside and into the rooms where structural decisions are made. Her work at PeriPro is grounded in the conviction that midwifery expertise, when translated into organizational strategy, has the power to reshape how perinatal care is delivered across the country.
